beauty saloon is beautiful

I love to find a fresh perspective on an old matter, something I've done weeks or years ago. And I do mean 'find' literally - simply because I seldom manage to get a different angle on things when I'm surrounded, or occupied, by them - even if I try.
Usually it suddenly appears to me -
Giving me that indescribable feeling of growth:
This is me, now, different of what I was once was,
And I see things in a different way now. Always better.

sometimes it rains

And sometimes not...

It's nice to find out that even when it's grumpy and all-so-wet, a bit of roof-top can make me warm, even enough to take the camera out for a shot.

faithless (?)

I've got my own moral compass to steer by
A guiding star beats a spirit in the sky
And all the preaching voices -
Empty vessels of dreams so loud
As they move among the crowd
Fools and thieves are well disguised
In the temple and market place

I don't have faith in faith
I don't believe in belief
You can call me faithless
I still cling to hope And
I believe in love
And that's faith enough for me

And that's faith enough for me

cloud 9

Or was it No. 8?
Wasn't counting...

a month off

Was a much needed vacation.
Got a new Job.
My way is twisting forewards.

bar keep

Summer,
Mid-Day,
Tel-aviv,

One of the best times for a beer.

slip sliding away

And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things hed done
He came a long way just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and he headed home again

Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

missing

An endless fire.

Remindful.

The best and worse feeling of them all.

"I miss you" – Therefore there is a “you” to miss. And there is a reason.

"I miss you" – Therefore you’re not here.

reflecting

We are sometimes afraid to look at our reflections.
Scared of what we may find.
See something that we did not want to see,
Something that we try hard not to see.

To know who I am I must face my mirrors,
To do the things I want most I first have to deal with my reflections.

The easiest thing is to look away,
The bravest thing is to go along with them.

lost for words

When feelings get hold of me,
Throw me back and forth without warning,
I can go from yellow to blue in a heartbeat,
I can lose my words in the turmoil,
I sit and stare,
Letting the wind pass, reshaping my surface.

It seems that I can't control them, my feelings,
Even though sometimes I try.
And I shouldn't.

The wind is my friend.

life time

We're always so worried about time.
"How long will this take", "When did that happen?"...

Birthdays, anniversaries,
Watches, calendars.
All make us remember exactly when everything happened,
While the actual truth is that no matter how you try,
The best and worst moments of our life
Cannot be measured by time.

Funny enough, after writing this I've discovered that
this is my 100th post in 3 years of blogging.

15 (slow) seconds of glory

Must... Reach... Sea...

--

This turtle was found shot in the head, taken care of by wonderful people, and re-realesed to the ocean.
Sometimes we do good things.

juggle with fire

Fire juggling can be a dangerous thing.
You might get burnt.
You have to be concentrated the whole time.
You don't know if you will make it.
You don't know if the crowd will even like it.
Or at least appreciate it.

But all of these don't really matter,
if when the show is over you can say to yourself:

"I tried, I did it, I took another step".

banjo Joe

Banjo Joe,
Sitting in the sun,
Playing his banjo;
Is he happy when a coin drops?
Is he happy when a tune works?

beer zen

We sit on a wooden bench,
Scars decorate its brown surface.
A hot summer's day,
The air is humid, thick with thoughts.
Cold glass enters,
Filled with my favorite.
As I drink the air is lighter,
There is no beer.
Just me.
